About Teresa

I am a graduate from the University of Edinburgh, where I studied Mathematics and Physics. I am currently based in Amsterdam where I am pursuing my Masters in Astrophysics and Astronomy. Studying science can be very challenging and frustrating but once you understand the basics it becomes very rewarding. After living in Spain, UK and the Netherlands, I have experienced various styles of teaching, so I'll be happy to explore which type of learning benefits most the student as everyone needs different types of attention/help :).

About the lesson

Hello! The way lessons are organised would vary depending on the subject and level of the student. The length would vary between 45 min to 1h per lesson. We would focus on consolidating the topics that the student needs to learn by going over some theoretical aspects and doing lots of practice examples, starting with a few simple ones so the student can gain some confidence and understanding before moving on to more complex styled questions. I used to tutor while I was still at school and did it a little bit at the beginning of my bachelor's degree. I would aim to teach students that are still in school or at the beginning of their undergraduate degrees :).

Teresa is a fantastic native Spanish teacher. Full of knowledge and resources, she knows how to make her classes enjoyable and fun, but also effective: she always has the best anecdote or experience to share.
Cultured, hard-working and enthusiastic, Teresa knows a lot about stars and black holes, but also about traveling, cooking, books or series. Of course, she is the best paella teacher, proven!
