About Phaik
I have been teaching English, PTE and IELTS for over 40 years to a diverse group of students in China, Malaysia and Australia. I have a good track record of successful students. 80% of my students get through their tests and achieve their band scores with just a few lessons.
I have co-authored an English textbook currently used in Malaysia, and authored several grammar books and coursebooks. I was also a lecturer at three teacher training institutes in Malaysia for 15 years specializing in TESL. I was also commissioned by Pearson (Malaysia) as a consultant for its English publications and the LDOCE dictionary and designed a workbook for its dictionary. I hold a M. Ed (UK).

I believe every student is different and hence my methodology is student-centred driven. Lessons will be prepared and adapted based on your needs. They will include theory (grammar rules, word choice and writing conventions) and lots of practice to master each skill. I will provide exam tips to help you maximise your scores.
