• When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

  In the era of 21st century where fast growing and emerging technological developments are booming up. This urge of mine during earlier stages of teenage to start developing new ideas and innovations intrigued me to share my knowledge with others. This is when I decided to conduct knowledge sharing experiences via home tutoring.
  
  According to me, ''Knowledge shared is Knowledge Gained''

• Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

  Initially, at an early stage when I started tutoring I used to provide basic math lessons. Over the time, as and when I started developing my knowledge into various aspects by utilizing theoretical based knowledge into reality. This is when I advised student's to grasp knowledge for real life applications and not just for the sake of grades.
  
  One such example was during my course of study in A-levels, I had to build a gadget for college science expo. For which, I built a motion detector sensor using breadboard circuits. This was my personal choice to apply all my learning during the course of study into practical realities.

• Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

  My role model is me itself. This is because I believe that learning each day and reflecting upon your character is the core inspiration you can get. This in turn boosts my own confidence and uplifts the motivation to do more.

• What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

  Most importantly, its not the knowledge which makes you an ideal tutor. It is the way of expressing your thoughts onto the subject matter in terms of real time applications. Also, the a humble way of communicating with the student helps you connect with them better.

• Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

  During my school days, I still remember that day when I started dreaming about the things that I'll do after school ends while the class was going on. The teacher called my name and asked me to answer the question. And now, I didn't even know the answer. I was so worried about it. Suddenly, my mate sitting besides me whispered and told me the answer. And I told the same answer to my teacher. And you know what it was the right answer! Oh, man, I breathed a sigh of relief. I am damn sure it has happened with all of us.

• What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?

  At times I do hesitate with various curriculum which differs from country to country. I am trying to overcome this by grasping and learning aspects from different student interaction's around the globe.

• Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

  My passion was, is and will be science and its innovations. Since childhood, I have had this urge to explore and discover its horizons. An real life example was when in class 5, I was gifted with a remote controlled toy car. Instead of playing with that one, I had dismantled it, just with a sense of curiosity towards the technology which was driving the car. This desire of mine helped me to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering. Today, I am delighted and happy to have been following all of my passion. Teaching students is also part of my passion as spreading the word of knowledge in itself is a great thing indeed.!

• What makes you a Superprof (besides answering this interview questions :-P) ?

  A belief and enthusiast to spread the word of practical application based knowledge is what makes me a real Superprof.
