About Michele

I bring over 30 years of experience teaching high school and college mathematics, along with a graduate degree in mathematics education. My background includes both in-person and online instruction, so I’m comfortable working with students in a variety of learning environments.

Students can count on me to be reliable, patient, and well-prepared for every session. I communicate clearly, set realistic goals, and provide honest feedback to support steady progress. My approach is structured but flexible, ensuring lessons are both effective and responsive to individual needs.

Above all, I’m committed to helping students build confidence, strengthen their understanding, and achieve measurable results in math.

About the lesson

I take a student-centered approach, adapting each session to the learner’s goals, pace, and prior knowledge. I begin by identifying gaps and strengths, then explain concepts clearly using step-by-step examples. I encourage questions and guide students to think through problems rather than memorize procedures.

A typical lesson starts with a brief review, followed by introducing or reinforcing a concept, working through guided examples together, and then independent practice with support. I end with a summary and strategies for continued practice.
