About Jorge

Hi, I'm Jorge, a senior aerospace engineering student with a strong background in math, physics, and chemistry. I've spent years applying these subjects in hands-on engineering projects, from carbon fiber manufacturing to computational simulations, and I love helping others understand how these concepts work in the real world. My goal as a tutor is to make complex topics approachable and even enjoyable. I’m patient, reliable, and take pride in adapting my teaching style to fit each student’s needs. Whether you’re tackling algebra for the first time or diving into differential equations, I’m here to guide you through it with clear explanations and visual learning tools. I’ve worked with students from K–12 all the way up to college-level courses, and I understand that everyone learns differently. I’m committed to creating a supportive environment where you can ask questions freely, build your confidence, and see real improvement. If you're ready to take your learning to the next level, I’d love to help you get there.

About the lesson

As a tutor, I focus on building strong conceptual foundations while connecting lessons to real-world applications. My teaching style is patient and adaptable, using visual aids, physical analogies, and step-by-step problem breakdowns to make complex topics feel more intuitive. Whether it’s math, physics, or chemistry, I tailor each session to the student’s learning pace and preferred style, especially for those who benefit from visual and hands-on explanations.

A typical lesson with me begins by reviewing key concepts and identifying where a student feels stuck. From there, we work through examples together, using diagrams or real-life scenarios, like rockets or cars, to help bring abstract equations to life. I also encourage active problem-solving and offer tips for approaching challenging exam questions with confidence.

What sets me apart is my background as a senior aerospace engineering major and hands-on experience in both manufacturing and research. I’ve applied the subjects I teach to real engineering projects, and I love helping students see why what they’re learning actually matters. I’ve also taught a wide range of students, from K–12 to college-level courses like Calculus III, Differential Equations, and Linear Algebra, so I’m comfortable adjusting my approach to fit any level.

These lessons are great for anyone from middle and high school students to college undergrads who want to deepen their understanding or improve performance in STEM subjects. Whether you're preparing for an exam, catching up on difficult material, or just want to build confidence, I’m here to help.
