About Avery
My journey in mathematics began with a fascination for numbers and the clarity that comes from solving complex problems. I earned a B.Sc in Applied Mathematics and later an M.Sc in Mathematical Modeling, which deepened my understanding of analytical thinking, geometric interpretation, and algebraic structure. Over the past 6 years, I have taught students across different levels—from elementary school math and middle school math to advanced algebra, geometry, and SAT math—guiding them with patience and encouragement. I believe that success in mathematics depends on a supportive environment and clear explanations. I tailor each lesson to the learner’s pace, using visual diagrams, real-world examples, structured steps, and consistent encouragement to help them feel motivated and capable. My teaching style reduces stress around math and helps students approach challenges with confidence and curiosity. Beyond teaching, I explore mathematical puzzles, educational techniques, and new problem-solving strategies that enhance my lessons. Seeing students discover their own strengths and enjoy mathematics—often for the first time—is the part of my work that brings me the greatest joy.
