About Aaryaa
I am a Second Year Architecture student, focusing on integrating logic and playfulness to architecture using AI and computational thinking. I consciously seek methods to use creativity as a learning tool, especially to aid overall time management and specific conceptual understanding of mathematical concepts.
My personal interests lie in integrating Calculus, specifically integration and differential equations, with Architecture.

It is my pleasure to recommend Aaryaa Kamdar, she will be an astounding tutor at your organization. I am Alisha Kumar, an assistant mathematics professor at Gujarat University, India. I have 25 years of teaching experience and I specialise in statistical analysis. I have mentored Aaryaa since May 2020 for her research on ‘Mathematically Modelling Minimalism’. I have seen multiple students in my teaching career, but Aaryaa uniquely stands out amongst them.
She is a learner with a relentless passion for knowledge. She was a high-school student, studying in another city when she reached out to me with her research idea on quantitatively model qualitative features like ‘minimalism’. My college students often approached me with mathematical research ideas, but Aaryaa was the first high-school student to approach me with such an abstract research proposal. Her extremely curious nature brings out of the box and innovative perspectives to all her work. She worked with 3 second-year college students for the research and naturally led all research processes. Spanning from the initial idea to researching mathematical approaches, to contacting mathematical experts across the country, Aaryaa acts like the backbone for the team. She is extremely focused and persistent. Never have I had students email me ideas on mathematical analysis of human impressions of minimalism at 3 am.
She is an extremely quick learner, which makes it very easy for her to work with second-year college students. Despite being 3 years younger than her teammates, she is extremely competent; she uses the added mathematical experience from other teammates and researches more about those mathematical concepts with her own creative viewpoint. I have seen her grow more than any of her teammates. Aaryaa is also extremely efficient in communicating with others, be it her teammates or mathematical experts from Germany. Her optimistic attitude kept the research ongoing even after a nationwide lockdown forced the team to work virtually. She organised all collaborative working sessions, video-calls with mathematics professors from other universities, and virtual movie sessions too. The quality that differentiates Aaryaa from any of my previous college students is reflectiveness. She is constantly reflecting on the effect of a particular mathematical procedure, on the repercussions of the research’s results and even on the applications of a single sentence from our group discussions. Her ability to effortlessly find connections between fields of study is what makes a liberal-arts education ideal for her.
I am extremely confident that Aaryaa will be a great asset to your organization. She brings all the required experiences and skills, while continuously growing as a student through her abstract ideas. She will constantly engage in endeavors that will help your community grow.
Aarya has been an excellent tutor to have by my side and it is with wholehearted confidence that I give her my recommendation.
When I first met Aaryaa, she greeted me with a smile and an infectiously positive attitude towards learning and teaching that was a constant in every tutoring session that followed. Her humor and personable demeanor always managed to motivate me, and her constant kind and uplifting words have helped me feel and eventually become much more confident in myself and my mathematical abilities. Because of these attributes, I’ve been able to feel very comfortable with her as my tutor. Aarya strikes up the perfect balance between objectively holding you accountable for achieving your best, whilst simultaneously allowing you to open up to her comfortably if you were having trouble with a difficult problem or concept, whether it was complex numbers, trigonometric substitution, or calculus. Furthermore, I think it’s important to mention that she has an enthusiasm and love for math that is unparalleled by anyone I have ever met. Her explanations of math are clear and concise, and she was able to explain each concept to me in a manner that gave me a deep understanding of each topic. When she was my tutor, I felt supported, but also challenged, which I can now attest was essential for my own personal improvement and eventual achievement of a predicted Level 7 in Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches Higher Level because of her help.
I can equally attest to Aarya’s strong work ethic and planning skills: every session we had planned out in advance and well-prepared for - Aarya created extensive notes, presentation slides, and practice problems for every single lesson and always provided me with a summary of what we intended to cover beforehand. After each tutoring session, she would even send me a summary of what we had learnt and points for improvement prior to our next session. When assigning homework, she consistently followed up on me and gave me feedback within a day or two, at maximum. This stuck out to me because despite this being unpaid volunteer work for an online organization, she handled the position with utmost professionalism, organization, and dedication. Personally, I look up to Aarya because of her responsibility and consistency which honestly serves as an inspiration to me on how I want to work professionally in the future.
Finally, what I love most about Aarya is her incredible devotion to her students, and I know that from personal experience myself as she always goes the extra mile. One memory that stands out to me is how she helped me with my Math IA. I decided to change my Math IA topic late into the year, and because of that I had to come up with and complete a Math IA within less than a month. When I asked Aarya for help, she immediately stepped up to the plate and helped me put my Math IA together. She looked for resources, explained math I could use to improve my exploration, and created pages of notes trying to understand how to find the volume of revolution of a partial circular function. This was something I valued and treasured deeply as I know she was not obligated to stay outside of her volunteering hours and do that for me as our tutoring partnership ended 6 months prior, and yet Aarya was more than happy to support me. Because that’s the type of tutor she is, and it’s obvious both through her actions and words that she cares about you, not only as a student but also as a person.
I am sure that Aarya will give every student that is fortunate enough to work with her the same care and quality of work that I experienced, and any organization or person that chooses to hire her would be more than lucky to have her.View more recommendations
