About Matthew

Hi my name is Matthew Morrison. I have a BSc and an MSc in Mathematics from Queen Mary, University of London.
I am also an actor, and use that to devise helpful ways of teaching (everyone is different), and helping to conceptualize difficult topics and transform them into more palatable forms to digest.
I primarily focus on Mathematics, and I've tutored Year 9 SATs, GCSE's, A-Level, and Adult learners.
My teaching style is more of a diagnosis and is tailored specifically for each student. It begins with learning about you, and what methods you like to learn in, then it develops into finding out areas that you excel in and areas that you need more help, and from there I find solutions to strengthen those areas of weakness.
I don't see any question as a "silly" question, and I like to take a more light-hearted approach in my teaching methods. I emphatically believe that education is important, but life doesn't have to be so serious!

Matthew tutored me in Maths for my A-Levels and I was pleasantly surprised by his patience and helpfulness. He helped me to understand more complex topics that I needed help with and really understood where I was going wrong. He offered several solutions to the problems which really helped my understanding. Thanks again, Matthew!

As Matthew's former manager, I have learned a lot from him in the time we spent together. Ever so patient, Matthew has a way of explaining things in a way that complex ideas become clear, creating a full understanding on what is being taught so you will remember what it is as well as why it is that way. A kind and calm personality with a fun side to him, Matthew connects very easily with those around him. Reliable, intelligent and humble, learning from him feels like an exchange rather than just new information being put to you.
