About Diego
I am a Spanish engineer who came to London to study engineering and build my career in the UK. I hold a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering and have 9 years of professional experience working as an engineer, alongside 3 years of previous tutoring experience.
I have always enjoyed teaching and helping others understand challenging subjects, which is why I offer tutoring in Maths, Physics and Science. These subjects have been a major part of both my studies and professional career, and I enjoy showing students how they apply to real-life engineering and problem-solving.
My aim is to make lessons clear, practical and engaging, helping students build confidence as well as knowledge. I am passionate about supporting students at different levels and helping them feel more comfortable with subjects that can often seem difficult at first.

My approach to tutoring is clear, practical and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I focus on helping students understand the subject properly rather than simply memorising answers. I break down complex Maths, Physics and Science topics into simple steps, using worked examples, diagrams and real-world applications to make the content easier to understand.
As an engineer with a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering and 9 years of professional engineering experience, I am able to show students how scientific and mathematical principles are applied in real situations. This helps make lessons more engaging and gives students a stronger appreciation of why the subjects matter. I am also working towards membership of CIBSE, which reflects my continued professional development within the engineering sector.
My teaching methodology usually involves identifying the student’s current level, finding any gaps in knowledge, and then building confidence through explanation, guided practice and independent problem-solving. Lessons can include topic revision, homework support, exam preparation, past paper practice and help with specific areas the student finds difficult. I aim to create a calm and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.
A typical lesson lasts around 1 hour, although longer sessions can be arranged where required, particularly for exam preparation or more detailed topic work.
I have 3 years of previous tutoring experience, supporting students with Maths, Physics and Science. My lessons are suitable for secondary school students, GCSE students and A-Level students, including those who need extra support, want to improve their grades, or are preparing for exams.
Overall, my goal is to help students improve their understanding, build confidence and develop the problem-solving skills needed to succeed in Maths, Physics and Science.
