About Samantha
I am an 18-year-old student, currently going to the University of McMaster, and am dedicated to my studies. I have a passion for making complex concepts more accessible to those who may struggle with it. With having multiple years of experience as a Competitive Swim Coach and Private Instructor, I have the ability to tailor my teaching approach to fit the style and needs of the tutee's needs. My goal is to have an engaging and supportive environment to ensure that the student feels confident in tackling any academic challenges that may come their way, such as in math or physics.

I begin with assessing the tutee's knowledge about the subject. Then I will ask what questions to determine what they are struggling with and what they might need assistance in. I will try different methods of teaching the subject in order to help the tutee get a clear understanding of what is going on and what to do. Then I will find practice problems to help test the skills just learned, to solidify what had just been taught. At the end of the lesson, I will review everything that had been taught and will go over any confusion that remains if needed. I am very patient and a great explainer. I love to share my knowledge in many different ways, as we do not all think the same, so talking about specific topics and teaching it may need to be looked at from different angles. My lessons are for those who are in elementary school from ages 9-13 (grades 4-8) high school (grades 9-12).
