About Andrew
I want to teach because I’m passionate about helping the next generation of engineers develop the confidence, curiosity, and problem-solving skills they need to succeed. After spending 25 years in industry, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful a solid technical foundation and good mentorship can be. Teaching gives me the opportunity to share the practical knowledge I’ve gained, support students as they navigate challenging concepts, and watch them grow into capable, creative professionals. It’s incredibly rewarding to guide students toward those “lightbulb moments” and to know I’m helping shape future engineers who will go on to make meaningful contributions.

With 25 years of industry experience as a mechanical engineer, I offer practical insight that helps students see the connection between theory and practice. I’ve led engineering teams, solved complex technical issues, and designed systems for high-pressure situations. This background allows me to explain concepts clearly and meaningfully. I have also created and delivered graduate engineering programs while mentoring students as they move from the classroom to the workplace. My teaching style combines practical application with strong fundamentals. This approach gives students the confidence and skills they need to succeed academically and in their careers.
