About Olivia
I've been teaching cello to young students, primarily in group settings, since 2022 and find immense joy in helping children and young adults discover music. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s unique personality and pace. I genuinely love working with people—their curiosity, creativity, and openness make every lesson rewarding. Music has always been a constant in my life, and sharing that love through teaching feels deeply meaningful. Whether guiding a beginner through their first notes or helping a student prepare for an exam, I strive to make learning cello both technically strong and emotionally enriching.

Experienced in teaching children aged 8 and above in inner-city Melbourne. Awarded the Licentiate of Music, Australia (LMusA) in Cello Performance and Music Theory in 2024, and the Associate in Music, Australia (AMusA) in 2022. Performed with the Queensland Youth Symphony from 2020 until relocating to Victoria. Offers lessons 30 mins - 1 hour from AMEB preliminary level to grade 5. I adore working with children so I teach in a patient and understanding manner, with emphasis on the love of music and musical development.
