About Elaine
I am a Montessori educator and mother of an autistic child. I have worked in a Montessori classroom for the past six years. In the first three years, I taught in an Early Childhood Education classroom. For the past three years, I worked as a Teacher Assistant in a second and third-grade classroom. I work one-on-one with students, and I also lead small group lessons. I have experience in working with children with various learning disabilities.

I follow the philosophy and techniques of Dr. Maria Montessori. In Montessori education, educators are guides who help the child discover knowledge. I believe children are all deserving of full human dignity and respect. Lessons are adapted to the child, not the child to the lessons. I utilize concrete materials to present abstract concepts.
