About Joseph
Joseph is an Alumni of the Interlochen Arts Academy and has been teaching saxophone, music theory, and jazz improvisation for four years. He is now a student of NYU pursuing Jazz Performance with an intent on double majoring in Composition, and is currently recording, freelancing, and busking throughout New York. Joseph has a breadth of experience ranging from simpler concepts such as a basic understanding of saxophone fingerings, reading sheet music, and basic jazz articulation to extended techniques, breath control and tone production, doubling knowledge for saxophonists, chord-scale relationships, and more complex music theory concepts such as counterpoint and 4-5 part harmony.

Having gone through rigorous musical training, Joseph has found his love in transferring his knowledge onto aspiring young artists. Joseph creates a stress-free environment while teaching students, as he wants them to feel comfortable with their musical abilities. Lessons will take place on Zoom, Skype, or FaceTime depending on student preference. The first lesson with Joseph will be free of charge, as it will be purely diagnostic to understand what his students excel at and what they need to work on. Based on his students' musical voice, Joseph will incorporate lesson materials unique to each student.
