About Helen
I am an experienced museum curator, lecturer and art historian with a thorough understanding of art history alongside an ability to place artists within the historical framework. I have co-curated a variety of exhibitions and have delivered museum education programmes to students of all ages. I completed my Masters in History of Art at Birkbeck and my undergraduate degree at the University of Kent.

I’d like to offer my services as a tutor to undergraduate History of Art students, or other courses with a similar focus. I have a BA and MA in History of Art and six years’ experience working in the heritage sector as a curator. I teach the history of photography part time at UAL and I am looking for students to take on for private tuition alongside this position. My research has focussed on early photography and 19th/early 20th century British art, alongside a more general understanding of the history and philosophy of European art dating back to the 15th century.
I can offer lessons covering discussions of theories/movements in the visual arts, placing artists within a social context, help with essay structures, research techniques, and exhibition planning.
