About Hayden
I absolutely love teaching students of all ages. It's incredibly fulfilling to see the enjoyment and satisfaction they get from learning new things. Teaching them how to play their favorite songs is one thing, but showing them the nuts and bolts of why certain things sound good is a game changer. Combining these various aspects makes teaching quite rewarding for me.

I've had lots of students in the past who've had other teachers give them incomprehensible material. They come to me showing me what they know aside from what they've actually learned. For example, they may know how to play a certain chord but they probably don't know the notes in that chord, let alone the fundamentals and basic music theory.
I make sure my students know basic music theory before getting into any type of guitar repertoire. It's vital to me that my students understand the musical context of playing rather than just showing them finger placement for a chord. This improves their musicianship and overall awareness in any musical setting.
