About Kevin
Hi, I’m Kevin, a UCLA composition student, violist, and experienced music educator. I have studied and performed in advanced orchestral programs, including the LA Phil Composer Fellowship Program and YOLA. I provide patient, organized, and encouraging lessons, helping every student build confidence, strong technique, and a lasting love of music.

Hi, I’m Kevin! I teach composition, viola, and violin to elementary through high school students, from complete beginners to more advanced musicians.
My lessons combine clear explanations, practical exercises, and creative activities tailored to each student’s goals. A typical lesson includes a warm-up, focused technique or theory work, repertoire or composition practice, and specific goals for the following week. As a UCLA composition student and experienced young musician, I make lessons encouraging, engaging, and easy to understand.
