About Abhinav
Hi, I'm Abhinav!
My journey with the guitar began with a deep love for rock and melodic music. I specialize in guiding complete beginners through their first steps on the guitar, from holding the instrument confidently to playing their first chords, building rhythm, and eventually understanding why certain music makes you want to close your eyes and just get lost in it. That last part matters to me.
Everyone admires that one talented kid at parties who can pick up a guitar and begin a grand karaoke session, and I can make you become that guy!
I offer a warm, patient, and encouraging environment where there is no such thing as a "stupid question". Feel free to ask away anything and everything that's on your mind!
Whether you're a school student picking up a guitar for the first time, a working adult finally pursuing a lifelong dream, or anyone in between, you can come to me. All I need from you is curiosity and enthusiasm!
I take my students' progress seriously and come to every session prepared, structured, and genuinely invested in your growth.

Hey there!
My teaching style is rooted in making the guitar feel exciting from day one. The best way to learn is to pick up a guitar and start experimenting. I get students strumming real songs they love as early as possible, so motivation stays high. I blend this with just enough music theory to connect the dots and make things click.
Teaching Techniques:
Learning chords and rhythm patterns, and connecting exercise patterns to their actual implementation in songs
Teaching scales in a musical context to show how they connect to the songs students already love
Introducing music theory gradually, explaining why certain notes and chords create emotion
Using rock and melodic songs as the primary learning material, keeping energy and passion alive throughout
Typical Class Structure:
Warm-up (5 minutes): Some fun exercises while we go over what we learned in the previous lesson
Introducing a new concept for the day (10-15 minutes)
Applying the new concept to a real song and talking about how it is used (10- 15 minutes)
Summing up the Theory (Relating theory to implementation, which is often the "AHA" moment for the student)
A small homework assignment that the student can work on until the next class
What Makes Me Different:
I know what it is like to pick up an instrument for the first time; it can be overwhelming, and there will be days when you feel you may not be cut out for it. I can help you get through the initial rough patches and keep your motivation and love for music high.
Rather than just playing through exercises, I help students understand why music moves people, which builds a deeper, lasting connection to the instrument.
I am very patient and encouraging, and I love watching beginners improve in their craft and finally achieve what they're working towards!
Who My Classes Are For: Primarily beginners of all ages: children, teenagers, college students, and adults who've always wanted to pick up a guitar! No prior experience needed! If you can hold a guitar, we can make music together, haha!
