Mr. Colin is very punctual. For example, a Lesson appointment at 3 o'clock and a door ringbell is heard at 2:59. In the eight months of taking Lesson, he was never late for an appointment, and he kept Lesson time exactly. And he does Lesson passionately.

I highly recommend Colin for teaching piano! I am an adult learner (47 when I started) with some music experience. I’ve taken piano lessons from Colin starting as a beginner for about 3 years. As a teacher, he’s very patient and forgiving (especially if I did not practice as much as I should have). More importantly, because he has a broad fund of knowledge about how piano is played in the bio mechanical sense and that everyone’s hands and arms and technical abilities are a little or a lot different, he’s really good about pointing me in the right direction so that I can empirically arrive at a manageable way to perform challenging pieces using what I have. Finally, he has a PhD in musicology and composition so the stylistic nuances of the music are always appreciated and well taught. He is an exceptional piano educator.

Colin helped me achieve my childhood fantasy of playing piano, all without having to learn music notation. He devised a numbering system that made it easy for me to play my favorite pieces on the piano as if I was studying it for years. He was very patient with my lack of music background and gave specific instructions that were very easy to implement.
