About Bridget
I am constantly keeping up to date with the current reasearch in education, specifically literacy. I have a M.A. in Education and a B.A. in Speech Pathology. I have over 10 years of teaching and private tutoring expereince in NYC. I am also Orton-Gillingham trained at the associate level.
Currently I am a private literacy tutor in Manhattan and the surrounding areas. I work in person and virtually, conducting pre- and post-assessments and developing engaging virtual sessions. I have a proven track record of student success and improved motivation around reading.

I use multisensory techniques to teach phonemic awareness, phonics and reading comprehension. Using kinesthetic teaching techniques not only engages the student virtually or in person, but also helps students learn in different ways and develop better muscle memory for writing.
