About Ben
As a student, I spent years in the classroom digging deeper into the material being taught because I loved knowing how things work. As an engineer, I seek answers to questions about space systems in which no one has asked before.
I will provide tutoring and guidance in developing an understanding of why things work they way they do. One of my strengths in tutoring and teaching is to break concepts down into simple language with examples and simple analogies. In my experience, I’ve learned that if you can’t explain it to a child then you don’t understand it well enough.

Memorizing equations and quick math facts may get you through courses well enough, but what happens when you try and apply what you’ve learned to the real world? What happens when you encounter a problem that isn’t from a text book?
Curiosity and experimentation are vital to understanding the world around you. . . And it’s way more fun to learn this way! It’s not my job to teach you what equation to use when - I see it as my job to help you understand, on a fundamental level, why the methods we use work and maybe where they don’t.
