About Phue (Eri)
Hi everyone! Mingalarbar. Thanks for clicking my profile. I am Phue. I am a 2020 graduate from the University of Melbourne, Australia. I am a native Myanmar (Burmese), and I have experience in teaching and working as a private tutor since my high school. I have been involved in teaching and helping people with their learning difficulties since 2015. I am very good with people and I believe I am a friendly, flexible and patient person who is passionate about all her work. Based on my experience, I would say working together to find the best solutions helps you reach your language goals. I can explain Burmese 4-skills along with etiquette and manners with fluent English. I know the difficulties in learning a new language and can set your mind at ease by understanding your strengths and weaknesses (everyone is different), and designing a fun, relaxed learning plan specifically for your abilities and your needs. I also welcome any Burmese fellows who grew up in foreign countries, and thus having a hard time engaging with 'our ancestors' language. ^^ Do not give up on being bilingual or even more. #Students must be at least 11 years old to learn the language. I approach a lesson with flexibility and a lot of patience and proceed at a pace which you find comfortable and valuable. After each lesson, you will be provided with PDF lesson notes, which you can use as a revision at your convenience. Homework is given if requested and appropriate. During one hour of study with me, you mainly practice reading, learning grammar, using words, and communicating. I will fix the homework you do, so I will know what you need to focus on. I use basic, positive learning principles: I like to focus on real conversations, and encourage student talking time, which is conducive to speech development, increased confidence and familiarization with Burmese tones and pronunciation. All in all, my lesson plan changes according to individual interest. Please openly discuss with me what your goal is in learning Burmese and feel free to let me know if there is any particular learning material you are willing to use. For example, if the material is books*, I can include materials from the books in our lessons. I love to know any feedback from past lessons with me, so I welcome any advice too! Perfect! Lessons with Erika have been excellent. The lessons that we have had so far have been well structured and tailored to my ability and my goals. Erika is very friendly, patient and has a deep understanding of the Myanmar language. This allows her to a student who is at any point on the learning spectrum.

Juri is very down-to-heart and she puts her heart into every aspect of the task that she does. Not only is she patient, she also is creative and innovate in ways she utilises to teach her students. You won't be disappointed in the slightest!
