About Marta
Hi! I am Marta Martínez, currently a sabbatical student saving money for my university studies.
I was born and raised in Catalonia, Spain, due to that, Spanish and Catalan are my first languages.
I have been studying English since I was three years old and after all these years I have managed to reach the official CAE of Cambridge and for the last three summers, I have been teaching English to Spanish children and adolescents, which helped them improve their writing, reading and speaking skills.
I consider myself a cheerful, adaptable, amiable, considerate, flexible and creative person.
As a native Catalan speaker, I have a richer vocabulary and a standard pronunciation pattern, plus due to my “young age”, I still know all the Catalan grammar, which some older Catalan natives tend to forget.

I believe that learning in small-group contexts (between 1-8 students) help them develop skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal relations, teamwork, team leadership and lifelong learning skills, which are all highly valued by employers. In addition, it can assist students in clarifying their attitudes to and ideas about the subject, as they test their own ideas and attitudes against those of others.
Depending on the level and the needs of the student, I can teach them new things or reinforce their skills. Also, if they are interested, I can teach them about our culture.
