About Andres
I'm Andres, a native Spanish speaker from Colombia, and languages are literally what I trained for: I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages (Spanish, English and French), which I completed through a specialisation diploma in modern language-teaching methodologies (CLIL), with my final research project on language immersion — how people truly learn a language by living it, not just memorising it.
Then life made me test my own research: three years ago I moved to Melbourne and went through full immersion myself.
Why do I teach? Because I believe languages are the deepest way humans connect. Every language carries a whole way of seeing the world — its humour, its music, its history, its people — and when you learn one, you don't just gain words: you gain another way of being human.

My lessons follow the CLIL approach I specialised in: you don't study Spanish in the abstract — you use it from minute one, on real content from your own life (your trip, your work, your interests). Each session is built around a concrete situation — ordering, storytelling, debating a topic you love — and grammar is learned inside that context, exactly when you need it. With my postgraduate training in learning management, your progress is structured too: an initial assessment, measurable goals per stage, and real tracking — you'll always know how far you've come and what's next. You speak 70% of the lesson, the vibe is relaxed, and mistakes are welcome: they're the raw material we work with.
