Hi, I’m a Caribbean-qualified teacher with a first degree in Literatures in English and over 10 years of classroom experience. I specialise in English literacy, essay writing, and English language, helping students of all levels develop strong reading, writing, and communication skills. I teach because I am passionate about empowering students through language. English is more than just a subject—it’s a tool for self-expression, critical thinking, and success in both academics and everyday life. I love seeing students grow in confidence, overcome challenges, and develop a deeper appreciation for the power of words. My Approach to Tutoring As a Caribbean-qualified teacher with a first degree in Literatures in English and over 10 years of classroom experience, I provide engaging and interactive online lessons in English literacy, essay writing, and English language. Instead of rote memorisation, I help students connect new knowledge to what they already know. Personalised Learning: Lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, identifying strengths and areas for improvement. Scaffolded Instruction: I use step-by-step guidance, breaking down complex concepts into manageable parts before gradually encouraging independent application. Practical Application: Lessons incorporate real-world examples and writing exercises that enhance comprehension and retention. Interactive & Engaging Lessons: Students actively participate through discussions, writing tasks, feedback sessions, and reflection. Lesson Length A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, but I adjust based on a student’s needs and goals.
