About Belinda
I am a native English speaker, qualified language teacher and experienced international professional with a passion for languages, communication and helping adults achieve their personal and professional goals.
I hold a Master’s degree in Education specializing in Language Acquisition, a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management and a TEFL qualification. I have extensive experience teaching English to adults from a wide range of nationalities and linguistic backgrounds, from general and conversational English to Business English and international exam preparation.
Before moving into education, I spent nearly 20 years working internationally in hospitality, business and major events. This professional background allows me to understand the real communication challenges faced by adults working in international environments and to bring authentic business experience into my teaching.
I am also multilingual, speaking English, French, Spanish and Portuguese, and have lived, studied and worked in several countries. This international experience has given me a genuine understanding of what it takes to learn another language and, more importantly, to develop the confidence to actually use it.
As a teacher, I am friendly, patient and encouraging, but also structured and goal-oriented. I enjoy getting to know my students, understanding what they want to achieve and adapting my teaching accordingly.
I particularly enjoy working with adults and professionals, whether you are looking to improve your confidence and fluency, develop your professional English, or prepare for an IELTS, OET, Cambridge or PTE examination.
My goal is simple: to help you communicate in English with greater confidence, accuracy and ease.

For OET candidates, lessons can be tailored specifically to healthcare professionals, including Writing preparation, consultation role-plays and effective professional communication.

My conversation classes are designed to help you stop translating in your head and start communicating naturally in English.
Through engaging discussions and real-life situations, we can work on fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, idiomatic English and those grammar mistakes that may be holding you back.
A truly international approach
I am a native speaker of English and also speak Spanish, French and Portuguese. I have lived, studied and worked internationally and understand first-hand what it takes to become genuinely fluent and confident in another language.
My teaching style is friendly, encouraging and engaging, while remaining structured and goal-oriented. I believe adults learn best when lessons are relevant to their lives, interests and professional objectives.
