About Thomas
I am a 3rd-year Aerospace Engineering student at IPSA (Paris) and a dual-native speaker of French and English. My tutoring approach is built on a unique intersection: the technical precision of a future engineer and the rigorous analytical foundations of the French academic system.
Beyond my engineering studies, I am a high-achieving graduate of the French Baccalaureate. Having successfully mastered the national exams in both French Literature and Philosophy, I provide my students with more than just language help, I teach them logical architecture. I specialize in the "Dialectical Method" (Thèse-Antithèse-Synthèse), which is the secret to scoring a 5 on the AP or a 7 on the IB persuasive essay.
Why I am the right mentor for your student:
I treat French as a system of rules, not a mystery. I help students organize their thoughts with the same clarity I use in fluid mechanics and structural analysis.
Growing up bilingual allows me to bridge the gap between French nuance and American English perfectly. I can explain the "why" behind complex grammar in a way US students immediately grasp.
Having navigated the high-pressure French "Classes Préparatoires," I know exactly what it takes to perform under the stress of high-stakes national testing.
As a current student in a top-tier engineering program, I am in the "academic trenches" every day. I communicate effectively with high schoolers, acting as a high-level coach rather than a traditional classroom teacher.
I am currently based in Paris, France, which allows me to offer exclusive late-afternoon and evening slots (starting at 3:30 PM EST).
To build my US profile and local reviews, I am offering a special $35/hr rate for my first 5 students. This rate will be locked in for the duration of our sessions for those who join early.

Stop "learning" French and start "mastering" the exam. If your child is in an AP or IB French program, they are likely hitting a "Performance Wall"—knowing the language but struggling to beat the complex scoring rubric. I specialize in turning high-achieving students into top-percentile exam performers (AP 5 / IB 7).
The ROI of a Top Score:
In the US, an elite score on these exams can earn a student 3 to 8 college credits, potentially saving your family thousands in university tuition. My approach is designed to secure that investment.
The 3 Pillars of My "Engineering" Strategy:
Decoding the Rubric: We don't just "write well." We deconstruct exactly what graders want to see in the Persuasive Essay and Cultural Comparison. I provide the specific transition words and sophisticated structures that "score-jump" a student from a 3 to a 5.
Oral Fluency Templates: We eliminate "speaking anxiety" by using logical Response Templates. I give students the structural "frames" to start any oral response, ensuring they sound fluent and composed even under pressure.
Logical Grammar Systems: I apply engineering logic to French syntax. We move away from random memorization and start understanding the mechanics of the language, cutting out the common errors that lower scores.
The Digital Strategy Archive:
Every session is recorded on an interactive whiteboard. After class, the student receives a high-resolution PDF of our annotated work and a custom "Weekly Roadmap" to keep progress on track.

My son managed to raise his overall average thanks to physics, even though it seemed like a lost cause. Very calm and patient, I recommend him.I highly recommend this physics teacher to anyone looking for clear, structured, and engaging lessons. Thomas knows how to make complex concepts easy to understand. His explanations are always patient, precise, and adapted to the student’s level, which makes learning much less stressful and far more effective. He's also reliable, well-prepared, and genuinely supportive. You can feel that they truly care about your progress. If you want to strengthen your foundations or aim for excellence in physics, you’re in very good hands.
I have known this young man for many years and can vouch for his qualities with full objectivity, being a trainer myself. He really adapts to the student. He helps students understand rather than just memorize. This is key for scientific subjects.
Thomas is a great teacher. He has helped me understand complicated differential equations in mechanics. He's calm and explains every topic clearly, adapting to my rythm and learning style.
Thomas is very pedagogical and patient. Thanks to him, physics becomes much simpler and more interesting. It gives me confidence and really helps me to progress and get better grades.
Thomas has a real talent for physics. He understands every concept in great detail, and has a real gift at identifying the student's deficiencies, so that he can transform those into strengths. I have seen him teach for many years, and I can say I am surprised every time. He always takes the best and most personalized approach to everyone's profile, granting the students the ability to truly understand what the concept is about.
I’ve seen Thomas explain complex physics and math problems to peers for years. He has a unique ability to break down scary topics into logical steps. He is patient, native in English, and incredibly dedicated. He can make anyone's progression take off !
