Her bubbly personality makes every class fun, welcoming, and something to look forward to. As a native French speaker, her accent was actually a huge help with improving my pronunciation and confidence speaking French. Her English is just as good, which was helpful for a beginner like myself.

I especially loved our interactive map activity, where we worked in groups to draw places like the church and swimming pool, label them in French, and then give directions from one destination to another, all in French!

Laila makes complex concepts feel simple, gives excellent feedback, and always uses examples that are relevant to the class. She is also incredibly supportive and available for consultations. She even noticed that “municipal piscine” (public pool) was my favorite phrase! She is very attentive.
