About Lydia

Bonjour! / ¡Hola!

I’m a native French and Spanish speaker and an experienced teacher who loves languages, travel and discovering new cultures.

I have always been passionate about languages and teaching, and I also love traveling. I left Europe to spend 9 months traveling through Central and South America, immersing myself in different cultures, meeting people from all over the world !

I’m now in Australia, discovering the country and enjoying a new adventure.

I believe that learning a language should be more than memorizing grammar rules. It should be a way to communicate, connect with people and discover a culture.

Whether you want to learn French or Spanish for travel, work, studies or simply for the pleasure of learning a new language, I’d love to help you enjoy the journey ! ️

About the lesson

Bonjour!

Are you looking for a French teacher who can help you make real progress while making lessons enjoyable, engaging and adapted to your needs?

I am a native French speaker and an experienced teacher with more than 15 years of experience in teaching and private tutoring.

Over the years, I have taught students with very different ages, levels and objectives. I know how to adapt my teaching approach to each student and create lessons that are both structured and personalized.

Whether you are starting from scratch or already have a good level of French, I can help you with:

- Conversation and speaking confidence
- Pronunciation and listening
- Grammar and vocabulary
- Reading and writing
- French for travel and everyday life
- French for school and university
- Professional French
- Exam preparation
- Beginners to advanced learners

After more than 15 years of teaching, I know that every student learns differently.

I don't believe in using exactly the same lesson with everyone. I adapt the content, pace and teaching methods to your level, your objectives and your personality.

Whether you need structured lessons to build a strong foundation or simply want to practice speaking with a native French teacher, I will tailor the lessons to your needs.

My goal is not only to teach you French, but also to help you feel confident using it in real-life situations.

As a native French speaker, I can help you understand not only correct French, but also the way French is actually spoken by native speakers.

We can work on pronunciation, everyday expressions, cultural references and the differences between formal and conversational French.

I am also very comfortable communicating in English. I have taught English in both France and Spain, and I have also worked as an English teacher in France.

This means I am very familiar with explaining grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and language concepts clearly in English.

For beginners, I can therefore explain things in English whenever necessary, while progressively introducing more French as your confidence grows.

I offer online lessons as well as face-to-face lessons in Brisbane.

I am very open to meeting new people in person and can be flexible regarding the location, depending on your situation and availability.

Whether you want to:
- learn French for an upcoming trip
- become more confident speaking French
- improve your school or university French
- use French professionally
- prepare for an exam
- learn French from scratch
- or simply discover the French language and culture
I would be delighted to help you.

Feel free to contact me and tell me about your current level and your goals. We can then discuss how I can best help you.

À bientôt!
