About Silke
I am a qualified German teacher and have been teaching private lessons from home since 2019. I started with only 1 student which recently increased to 4 students. I am seeking to expand my teaching and lessons on a regular basis working 1 to 1 or with a class.

I base my lessons on the AQA Examining board which I used during my teaching in school. I approach each topic by using all 4 skills (speaking, reading, writing, and listening). My teaching method is creative teaching as well as student-centered which follows 80%- 20% teacher talk. This means that the focus lays more on student talk rather than the teacher dominating the speaking. I use lots of visuals and present my grammar rules in different ways by explaining first or using guided discovery, where my students find out the rules themselves. I use the books and materials used in schools and create my own resources.
