About Elena
I am a passionate and dedicated Italian language teacher with years of experience helping international students discover the beauty of Italian.
I was born in Belluno, in the stunning Dolomites region of northern Italy, and I now live in Florence — one of the most culturally rich cities in the world. This journey across Italy has given me a deep understanding of the language in all its nuances, regional varieties and cultural depth.
I hold the DITALS certification, the most recognised professional qualification for teaching Italian as a foreign language, awarded by the University of Siena. This ensures that my teaching is grounded in proven, research-based methodology — not improvisation.
I teach teenagers, adults and professionals at every level, from complete beginners to advanced speakers. My students come from all over the world and share one thing in common: they leave our lessons feeling more confident, more motivated and genuinely excited about Italian.
I believe that learning a language is one of the most rewarding journeys a person can take. It is my privilege to be part of that journey with you.

As a native Italian speaker, born in Belluno and now living in Florence, I bring authentic language and culture directly into every lesson. I hold the DITALS certification (the leading qualification for teaching Italian as a foreign language), which underpins my structured, student-centred methodology.
My lessons are tailored entirely to each student's goals — whether that's mastering grammar, building conversational confidence, preparing for an exam, or simply falling in love with the Italian language. I combine communicative techniques with clear grammar explanations, real-life materials (films, articles, music) and plenty of speaking practice. Every lesson feels natural, never intimidating.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes and take place online via Zoom or Google Meet. I provide all materials, so students need nothing but curiosity and motivation.
I teach teenagers, adults and professionals at all levels, from complete beginners (A1) to advanced speakers (C2). Whether you're learning Italian for travel, work, university, love or pure passion, I have a programme for you.
I have years of experience teaching Italian to international students from across the world, helping them reach their goals with patience, enthusiasm and genuine dedication.
