About Nova
Hi! I’m a native Mandarin speaker from China, just finished my MA at SOAS, University of London. My research focuses on Chinese religion and philosophy, which informs my teaching style and content. I hold a top-level Mandarin proficiency certificate and have a strong background in classical Chinese and writing. Whether you're learning daily conversation, literary writing, classical Chinese (文言文), or even Chinese philosophy, I’d love to support your journey. My teaching style is patient, friendly, and well-structured, but always adaptable to your pace and learning style.

I offer personalised Mandarin lessons for children, exam-focused learners, and adults looking to improve their speaking or writing. Lessons are usually 1 hour, online. I focus on standard pronunciation, practical communication and cultural understanding. Every class is adapted to the student’s needs and level — whether for school exams, daily conversation, or building confidence. I can also teach classical Chinese (文言文) and traditional poetry for students interested in ancient texts and cultural depth.
