About Claudia
I am a Colombian native of the city of Bogotá D.C. I am a veterinarian and I have been living in Galveston Texas since one year ago. Because I really like teaching, I started offering Spanish classes since 2016 for different levels of knowledge with a business or academic focus, with young people and adults. I offer my classes via web cam. I emphasize Spanish phonetics and vocabulary and I adapt to the requirements of the students (business, travel, study and pleasure).

The teaching methodology is focused on the student's needs and based on the basic skills of writing, speaking, listening and reading; after an analysis that will be done from the first class.
The classes are dynamic with continuous interaction between the student and the teacher. Tools such as texts (literary, periodical, academic, among others), songs, videos and other printed or digital materials delivered in each session are used. These resources are focused on the level and requirement of the student.
As a native teacher, I emphasize the phonetics of Spanish and the common interferences between Spanish and other languages like English. In addition, I work on accent neutralization and knowledge of idioms and culture.
