About Carl
I am bilingual in Spanish and English, all my life I have studied these languages simultaneously since I was raised in a bicultural home. I studied a degree in foreign languages, where I learned French for 5 years, in addition to starting my studies in German and Italian. I am constantly learning and studying languages, at the moment I take courses in Colombian sign language. In the University I studied pedagogy, linguistics, phonetics, theories of learning among other fields that allow me to have the necessary knowledge to teach a language, concepts that I reinforce on a daily basis. I have experience teaching in high schools and colleges in the city of Cali, and I have given private classes in Cali and foreigners in the United States.

My teaching method is based on the needs and goals of my students. In my classes I involve a natural approach to learning English, in which you learn more everyday where the student is exposed to this language in a more natural way. I involve all kinds of skills; speaking, listening, reading, writing and grammar. My particularity as a teacher is that I know the culture of Spanish and English in depth and because of this I always achieve that my students are encouraged to learn the language. In addition, I have knowledge of pedagogy, theories of learning, phonetics, applications for the teaching of languages, linguistics among others. My classes are aimed at all types of students, as I have experience teaching classes at basic levels and at the most advanced levels, and with people of different ages, whether they are children or adults.
