About Varvara
I am currently a biology student at the University of Nottingham. My English is fluent, however Russian is my first language. My grades in GCSE and A-level Russian are both A*s, and I can help you achieve a similar standard if you are studying for one these qualifications.

I tailor my teaching to the person I'm teaching, aiming to balance a challenge with fun. Questions and examples are, without a doubt, vital for understanding and securing new information. In addition to this, as someone who grew up in Russia, I can provide you with context of how certain words and phrases would be used, and give you an insight into the Russian culture. I believe that incorporating humour into the process of learning a language is useful as it helps associate words with concepts on an emotional level, as well as to make learning enjoyable. If you wish to have homework, I am happy to provide it, but it is always up to you.
