About Maryan
I am Mexican-Peruvian, growing up speaking Spanish my whole life. I have traveled a lot to different Spanish Speaking countries and am aware of the different vocabs and expressions they have. I got a 5 on the AP Spanish Lang Exam and on the AP Spanish Literature exam. From casual speaking to writing letters of interest in Spanish, I am exposed to all levels of Spanish. As growing up speaking Spanish at home and being exposed to how Spanish is taught at schools, I found how school systems tend to be more of a "memorize these conjugations" and taking the passion of learning and immersing yourself to a language. I am very passionate about learning languages- I've taken 3 throughout high school. To begin, I would like to understand your goals and needs. I'm big on emphasizing real-life language use and interaction. I use many activities that touch each style of learning-visuals, auditory,games, etc. throughout each class, I usually do a brief review of the last lessons and build on and transition to it's continued part. I'm really enthusiastic about languages in general and patient. I ensure to have a positive and atmosphere for my students!
