I am a senior at a Raleigh-based early college graduating with a 4.0 GPA, a perfect ACT score, and two years of credit towards my Bachelor's degree. I lead two study groups in Chemistry and Calculus through my school's Service Learning program, and I tutor Precalculus/Math III through my school's National Honor Society chapter.

As a student in a general psychology class, I once had the opportunity to take a professional Myers-Briggs learning styles assessment, and through it, I learned that students, based on their preferred delivery of information, fall into two categories: those who learn by sensing (i.e. processes, step-by-step instructions, etc.), and those who learn by intuiting (i.e. understanding the big picture, realizing overarching concepts, etc.). The key to learning difficult concepts, in my opinion, is first understanding HOW one learns and how best to approach doubts and misunderstanding. As a tutor, my goal is to have a thorough understanding of my clients' learning styles before proceeding to teach them, and it is a practice I have seen to produce optimal results.
