About Terry
Hi! I'm Terry, your friendly guide to learning English in Canada. Before I started teaching, I explored a lot of different paths. I was a chef, opened my businesses, and even went back to school as an adult to get better at writing and sharing ideas. That's when I discovered I loved helping people learn English and make their way in Canada.
At Conestoga College, I worked with students from all over the world. Together, we tackled English for school and jobs, especially in areas where you need to communicate well, like journalism and marketing. What I enjoyed most was seeing my students grow more confident and ready for their future.
I believe learning English should be fun and focused on what you need in real life. Whether it's understanding your classes, getting ready for work, or just talking with friends, I'm here to help. I know learning a new language can be tough, but with patience and practice, we can make it happen. Let's work together to make your dream in Canada come true.

I'm Terry, and I've several newcomers and students — maybe like you — increase their chance of success by improving their English skills. This has helped them thrive in, not just their classes, but also in finding employment in things like journalistic writing, creative writing, communicating with people, and sharing ideas.
