About Avery
With my master's in Public History and my bachelor's in history, I have been studying the subject at a higher level for 6+ years. Additionally, I have worked as a researcher, a tour guide, interned at the state archives, and held various positions in museums - experience that has provided me with a well-rounded view of history and how to communicate effectively.

I understand history can be boring to some - if not most! That is why I make it my number one goal to discern what aspect of it might interest the client most and highlight that in every session I teach. Above all, I like to connect every lesson to present day so at the very least, history can feel relevant, useful, and important - because it is! My lessons are for middle school students (grades 6-8) and high school students (grades 9-12) studying American history.
