About Renee
A first-class honours graduate from New York University, Tisch School of the Arts in Directing & Acting. I am currently a professional theatre director with 6 years of experience. My repertoire includes solo shows, autobiographical shows, new writing, and I’ve auditioned hundreds of actors (youth and professional), and also sat in Off-Broadway casting sessions with established theatre companies. Companies I've worked with in New York include: Manhattan Theatre Club, Playwrights Horizons, Clubbed Thumb, etc. I have also worked with Tony-award winning director Rachel Chavkin and have sat in her audition room, so I have seen first hand what directors look for in auditions. With writers, I have worked with new writers and playwrights to premiere their work in New York, ranging from naturalism/realism to absurd expressionism. Worked in New York, London, and Singapore. I also have a background in teaching and have worked with youth theatres, ran Masterclasses, and done private tutoring. I love teaching and am a great listener. All my classes are personalised and tailored to your goals and what you want to achieve in your craft/career.
