About Charlie

Hi, my name is Charlie Imison and I was inspired to teach for two reasons.

I’m an extremely sociable person who gets on well with everyone I meet, and I’ve always found it fun to try and help teach others.

Additionally, I love learning maths, and find it an easy subject to teach due to my passion for it, as well as due to my constant exposure to maths currently.

About the lesson

Alongside structuring the lessons around your particular weak points, I will provide materials which are structured to test your understanding, and give you the exam technique needed.

I achieved a 9 in GCSE mathematics and I am predicted an A* at A-level mathematics, as well as an A at A-level Further Mathematics.

I believe it’s important to gain a strong understanding of the student's knowledge, so I opt to spend time finding gaps in knowledge, and then working to strengthen these with the appropriate steps.

Charlie is a classmate in my further maths class and consistently shows a bright and positive attitude towards the subject. He is very enthusiastic about the subject and approaches problems with curiosity and determination to find the solution.

When working with him in class, he was very patient and took time to explain concepts no matter the difficulty clearly so I could understand them allowing me to be confident when answering those types of questions again.

Overall, I think he would make a great tutor due to his strong understanding of maths, positive mindset and ability to help and support others effectively even when the content is hard.
