About Kylie
My ambition is to become a university lecturer, I am passionate about my subject areas and like to make class fun and engaging first and foremost!
I currently work as an Outreach Tutor and seek to help reduce barriers into education for those who would like to seek that path.
I enjoy a wide variety of non-traditional texts alongside the usual that we can bring into our lessons such as comic books, graphic novels, manga and world literature.
My current areas of research are - Contemporary, Post-Humanism, Multi-species Theory, Comic Theory and Allegory studies.

I'm a recent Graduate with a first-class honours degree, I will begin studying at Masters level in September.
6 years of tutoring experience.
All areas of English and Literature covered from reading and literacy to GCSE and A-level prep.
I am also an experienced ESL teacher of ages 8 - 80+!
I like to make class fun and engaging for students in order to ensure enjoyment of the class, enjoyment = high retainment of information.
The student-teacher relationship should see us both as equals and so I never scold or talk down to students.
