About Firdous
I am a native English speaker from the UK with A Level English and a distinction in Cert.TESOL. I have over 3 years of experience in teaching English as a Foreign Language. My background includes working at language schools abroad and providing private instruction to both children and adults in group and one-on-one settings.
I teach a diverse range of students, from children to adults, giving me extensive experience across various ages and proficiency levels. I am friendly, kind, and approachable, ensuring that my lessons are customized to meet the specific goals and learning preferences of each student. First, I'll listen to your learning goals and needs while assessing your current level. Our lessons will focus on building your skills and confidence, with a strong emphasis on sparking your interest and curiosity, turning learning into an engaging adventure rather than a mundane task.
For creative writing, we can work on writing short creative pieces, using techniques to craft vivid, imaginative passages with unexpected twists. We'll also cover transactional writing, such as how to write persuasively.
Literature lessons will be equally captivating as we explore the social context of plays, novels, and poems. You'll gain insights into the history, culture, and psychology of the time, along with a deeper understanding of the plot, characters, and themes. We'll also work on expanding your literary techniques and analytical skills, with the aim of nurturing your curiosity and developing you into a thoughtful, insightful English enthusiast.
