About Marija
Hello! My name is Marija, and I am a 20-year-old second-year Russian Philology student at Tallinn University. Russian is my native language, and I also speak Estonian and English fluently. I am currently learning Spanish, so I understand from personal experience what it is like to learn a foreign language.
I already have teaching experience through my university practice, where I worked with A2-level Russian learners from Japan and the United States. This experience taught me how important patience, clear explanations and an individual approach are when learning Russian.
I especially enjoy working with beginners and helping students feel more confident when speaking Russian. My goal is to create a friendly and comfortable learning environment where you can make mistakes, ask questions and progress at your own pace. I will be happy to help you discover Russian language and culture in an engaging and practical way!

My lessons are friendly, practical and adapted to each student’s level and goals. As a Russian philology student in Tallinn University, I combine clear grammar explanations with speaking, vocabulary, listening and real-life communication. A typical lesson includes a short warm-up, introduction of new material, guided practice, conversation and review. I focus on making Russian understandable and enjoyable rather than overwhelming students with complicated rules. My lessons are especially suitable for beginners and A1–A2 learners who want to build confidence, improve their speaking skills and understand everyday Russian.
