About Cleo
I specialise in working with adult beginners and returning singers who want to sing simply because they enjoy it. With over 5 years of experience and a DMA in Vocal Performance, I blend strong technique with encouragement and empathy. There is no pressure to perform here.
We build your voice step by step. Breathwork lays the foundation. Relaxation and posture keep the sound healthy and sustainable. Tone development brings warmth and clarity to everything you sing.
My teaching spans Jazz, Folk, Blues, and Contemporary Adult styles. I believe singing is creative self-care. It builds confidence in subtle but powerful ways. Whether you sing in a community choir or just in your kitchen, your voice matters. Let’s help it thrive.

My teaching method develops control first, then agility. Breath management and posture alignment are always the starting point. Without support, speed becomes unstable.
I use structured exercises to strengthen vocal flexibility. Runs and riffs are broken into patterns that are easy to understand. Melisma is practised slowly to ensure pitch accuracy. Each note must be clear and connected.
We also train coordination between breath, tongue, and jaw. This reduces tension in complex vocal passages. I carefully guide preparation for demanding works such as The Quartet Player and The Fiddler. Difficult embellishments are simplified before being rebuilt at tempo. Step by step, your voice becomes more responsive. You will sing challenging lines with calm confidence and ease.
