About Lydia
A Little About Me
I have spent the last decade of my life working with students across the world, of all age groups and at various points in their academic journey.
Whether teaching in a classroom in China, providing 1-1 tuition in Dubai, or offering university consultancy in London, developing student confidence and ability to excel is central to my approach!
I likewise believe all stages of a student's academic lifespan are equally important - GCSE examinations or University Essay submissions, both have an impact on a student's next steps.
Hence, I take all my student's progress seriously and provide them with the best support available, regardless of what stage they are in their academic journey!
My Education Background
I am a graduate of Trinity College Dublin and Oxford University.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Drama and Theatre Studies and MSc in Applied Social Research from Trinity College Dublin. I also hold a MSc in Social Anthropology from the University of Oxford.
I was likewise a recipient of the prestigious Trinity College Dublin Foundation Scholarship which is a 5-year scholarship awarded to those students based on on academic merit, competitive examination and PhD potential.
In other words, I am curious, enthusiastic and eager learner - who just happens to love to teach and mentor others!

Having taught British, IB and American curriculum internationally across the Middle East, China, India, and the UK, I am well-placed to help you excel in your studies!
I am also well-versed in Higher Education Consultancy and help guide students in their journeys in selecting university programmes that best suit their long-term goals.
My sessions typically last 1 - hour for younger age groups and can be extended up to 2 hours for older students with more complex topics.
My approach to teaching and mentoring is simple - the student always comes first and will guide how best to engage with the content.
