About Matthew
I began casually tutoring by teaching my sister subjects she struggles with in school, and I found that I could really help her with understanding both the content and how to answer the questions in the right way. I began tutoring professionally on my gap year and have been doing so for over 18 months to date, having had more than 50 clients.
My tutees all have mixed abilities, though I've been able to consistently elevate their confidence and performance. A particularly poignant example for me is the stratospheric rise in performance of a particularly science-averse tutee at GCSE level. Upon taking her on she was predicted around a 3 at GCSE for double science, but ended up attaining a 7 with my tuition.
These cases are the ones that motivate me to continue tutoring.

I teach anyone currently in school studying at A-level standard or below. I'm very passionate about my subject and I try my hardest to instil this in my tutees, as much as I can. I have experienced that every student is different in the way they learn and the specific needs that they have, so I tailor my teaching specifically to the needs of each individual. Whether it be getting to grips with the content of the course or refining exam technique to access the top marks, I am able to help.
