About Isabelle
I’m Isabelle, a visual designer and educator with a BFA in Communication Design from Parsons School of Design. With several years of experience working across branding, digital media, and user-centered web design, I specialize in helping students and young creatives bring clarity and intention to their visual work. Currently, I’m a core mentor at Rockaway Design Consulting, a New York–based creative education collective that supports emerging designers in building standout portfolios for top design schools and careers in the arts. Through Rockaway, I’ve mentored students from high school to graduate level, focusing on portfolio development, typography, layout systems, and personal storytelling through design. My professional work spans client branding projects, web design, and editorial layout. I bring both industry knowledge and a passion for teaching to every lesson—empowering students not just to create beautiful work, but to understand the “why” behind every design choice. As a tutor, I bring a thoughtful, design-centered approach to every session. My name is Isabelle, and I’m a Parsons School of Design graduate with years of hands-on experience in visual communication, portfolio layout, and website design. I teach by breaking down complex design concepts into clear, manageable steps that are both practical and inspiring.
**My teaching method is hands-on and project-based.** I believe students learn best by doing, so each lesson includes time for guided design exercises, visual critiques, and software demonstrations.
