About Alex
I am a Biomedical Sciences graduate with extensive experience supporting learners in schools, colleges and through private tuition throughout the past 5 years.
I specialise in Biology, Combined Science and human biology, with particular experience supporting students with SEND, anxiety and gaps in confidence, and also attaining level 3 qualifications in supporting students in education that have additional SEND needs.
I am patient, approachable and passionate about making science understandable, relevant and enjoyable. I am also preparing to begin my PGCE, further developing my teaching practice and methods - however, I have taught in Secondary Schools thus far in a teaching capacity.

My biology lessons are designed to make complex scientific topics concise, clear to understand, interesting and, importantly, memorable!
Each session is personalised around the student's goals, knowledge gaps, confidence and preferred learning style. I teach ALL GCSE Sciences (Biology, Chemistry & Physics) but also cover any Biology related topics to BSc level.
Lessons combine clear explanations, diagrams, real-life examples, retrieval practice and exam-style questions.
I also provide patient, SEND-friendly support and focus on building both subject knowledge and exam confidence, whilst specialising in supporting any additional needs that need to be taken into consideration.
