About Megan
My interest in becoming an educator started in high school. I have been tutoring privately for the past 10 years.
I have previously been a middle school English, Language Arts, and Reading Teacher, managing classes of 20-30 students, and a total of about 75 students each school year.
I am currently a Technology Applications teacher with 300+ students.
I tutor and teach all aspects of literacy; from media and digital literacy, to reading and writing in the content areas (Math, Science, History, etc.)

I earned my Master's of Education in the field of Literacy from Texas Woman's University. While I work with all ages, my area of specialty is ages 10-15. My main research focus is disciplinary literacy and educational technology.
I earned my Bachelor's of Science from the University of North Texas. I specialized in English, Language Arts, and Reading in grades 4-8.
